On Tuesday, October 09, 1781, in 1781 was a decisive victory by American forces led by General George Washington and French forces led by General Comte de Rochambeau. The battle of Yorktown was the last major land battle of the American Revolutionary war. The Americans had the British outnumbered by 11,620 men.

Happily, the Colonist won this battle because the British were surrounded by American/Colonist and the French on the mountain so they had no way to escape. The French were with Colonist team so Colonist won this battle.
